As a supporting event, RX Lites has run the 6th and penultimate round of the season. Young Frenchman Cyril Raymond kept his speed and pace clean enough to reach the top of the podium.

Cyril has won 3 out of 4 qualifying races during saturday and sunday. After winning the Semi-Final 1, Cyril secured his victory for the Barcelona round -with a perfect point of 30- and extended his lead to 8 points in front of Thomas Bryntesson.

Thomas finished 2nd and carried his title hopes to the last round which will be held in Riga, Latvia on 1-2 October weekend.

Simon Olofsson finished 4th after a spectacular battle with Thomas Holmen who finished 5th overall. Kenyan Tejas Hirani made it to final race but had to retire after gearbox failure at the very beginning of the final race.

Joachim Hvaal was one of the fast names of the weekend. He even won the Q4 and stormed into semi final but a collision with Emirati Saeed Bintouq swept his final dreams away. After  this incident, Bintouq had to retire. Joachim’s teammate Sondre Evjen was also another JC Raceteknik driver couldn’t find what he expected in Barcelona.

Local hero Albert Llovera was one of the drivers who enjoyed the weekend most. He didn’t have even a minute without his local fans. He signed his photos more than any other driver. Former Olympic sportsman Llovera finished the weekend at 9th position with 10 points. His lap times are improving with every race he participated.

At the overall standings Cyril Raymond is leading the series. Thomas Bryntesson is only 8 points behind him and Latvian round will decide who will get the 2016 title and to drive a Supercar in Estering as a prize. Simon Olofsson is holding the 3rd position where Joachim Hvaal is in chase.
