The Race of Champions 2017 edition brought together some of the world’s best drivers for a unique head-to-head race at Marlins Park baseball stadium in Miami, Florida this weekend. 4 of SuperCar Lites were used during the weekend as a part of the challenge along with some other brands such as KTM X-Bow Comp R, Ariel Atom Cup, Vuhl 05 ROC Edition, Polaris Slingshot SLR Radical SR3 RSX and NASCAR. The schedule consisted of 3 different challenges on both Saturday and Sunday: Race of Champions, Nations Cup and USA vs Rest of the World. The participants were legendary names of motorsports history and they all tried their bests to get the title on each event in front of 30.000 spectators. Here are the full list of drivers of 2017
JUAN PABLO MONTOYA
On the first day of ROC 2017, Juan Pablo Montoya grabbed the title for Champion of Champions. He drove SuperCar Lites on the final race and won against Tom Kristensen. On the second day, unbeaten Sebastian Vettel won and brought the Nations Cup trophy to Germany again at the steer of SuperCar Lites.
The last challenge was won by The World against USA Team and Triple World Champion Petter Solberg at the steer of SuperCar Lites, clocked an amazing 36,6270 seconds which was the second best time after Felipe Massa’s 36,5330. SuperCar Lites proved to be the one of the two cars who can reach to 36 seconds at the whole event.
Right after the finish line, Petter Solberg started the celebration with his spectacular style which was led to a parade of champions over the top of our car.
ROC 2017 has come to an end with unforgettable moments and memories which will be told for years.
