Round 3 – July 13, 2019 Saturday
Reigning ARX2 Champion Conner Martell took the victory in his return to the series, this season with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. Like Atkinson in the ARX Supercar final, Martell started from the back row of the grid but took his joker lap early, got the hammer down and passed the cars in front when they also took their jokers.

Alex Keyes took the hole-shot at the start to move ahead of pole-sitter Brad DeBerti. The Buhl Sport driver led until he took his joker on the last lap and was passed by Martell, but at the joker exit, he clipped the No. 41 WIX Filters car of JR Hildebrand, which dramatically rolled his car off the circuit. Cole Keatts took the advantage to finish second and Hildebrand recovered to make it a DRR 1-2-3. DirtFish Motorsports’ DeBerti finished fourth and Keyes was classified fifth because Loenbro Motorsports’ Michael Leach had to retire on lap two of his ARX2 debut. Round 2 winner Fraser McConnell spun out of contention in the semi-finals and DRR’s Gray Leadbetter was slowed in her semi-final by a puncture.

Conner Martell (No. 21 WIX Filters Dreyer & Reinbold Racing ARX2):
“We were in the same situation as ‘Atko’ [Chris Atkinson] starting at the back of the grid and all of the sudden, I’m in third and all of the sudden second. We took the lead after Keyes took the joker. It’s not good that he got together with JR [Hildebrand] and rolled, but that’s how it happened and I’m just hoping that we carry this pace on to tomorrow and not have as much bad luck as we did today, but that’s rallycross and it was a lot of fun and that’s what I’m here for.”

Round 4 July 14, 2019 Sunday
In ARX2, the official ARX support category, Conner Martell rounded off a perfect weekend to steal the victory from Fraser McConnell on the last lap of the final. The Jamaican driver led from the start, waiting until the last lap to take his joker, cutting across Martell to maintain the lead. But in the penultimate turn, McConnell entered with too much speed, ran wide into the dirt which allowed Martell through to take the win. McConnell’s collection of points moved him back into the standings lead, just four points ahead of Buhl Sport’s Alex Keyes.

DirtFish Motorsports’ Brad DeBerti got his reward for a solid weekend, taking the final step on the podium, profiting from a mistake by JR Hildebrand, with the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing driver finishing fourth. Cole Keatts faded after a bright start to the day, eventually finishing fifth, with Keyes in sixth. DRR’s Gray Leadbetter and Loenbro Motorsports with AF Racing’s Michael Leach both dropped out at the semi-finals stage after hitting trouble in each of their semi-final races.

Conner Martell (No. 21 WIX Filters / ISMI Springs Dreyer and Reinbold Racing ARX2):
“Dreyer and Reinbold gave me the best car and it was unbelievable. They are an awesome team and that’s really all I can say, because I didn’t have a ride this year and they called me up and now we’re here and I wanted to prove myself to everybody and to them and I think I did that. I’m really happy about that and the car was amazing all weekend and the competition was great, me and Fraser [McConnell] went back-an-forth and I’m proud of this kid [Brad DeBerti] in his second double-header ever and he’s on the podium again, which is incredible. I hope we get more drivers in ARX2 next year.”
